Honey Plum Tuna at Tenshi SushiAssorted Rolls at Tenshi Sushi

Michelle and I dropped by Tenshi Sushi tonight, located on the north end of Kensington, wedged between the Broken Plate and the coffee bar. Tenshi is a tiny Japanese restaurant, and I think we eyeballed a capacity of 20 or less.

Some quick notes: We had the Honey Plum Tuna Appetizer, a few rolls and chop chop (creamed scallop for those non-Edmontonians). The appetizer was fairly decent, with a very nice, sweet unique soy-type sauce. The rolls left something to be desired, as quality and flavour-wise, it was wedged between supermarket and Globefish (FYI, Towa is far above Globefish, and Sakana below the supermarket). Its always depressing whenever rolls still use generic pollack in their rolls to fill it up. However the fish on the rolls was thick, generous and noticeably fresh, so maybe I’ll try the sashimi next time around.
